Hitting the Road: Summer Road Trip 2017

A few weeks back, we departed home and headed out to hit the road. This summer our destinations included Devil's Tower, Mt. Rushmore, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Jackson Hole, the Sawtooth Mountains, and a few hot springs in Idaho. We were on the road for 11 days and traveled a little over three thousand miles. Everyday we had a new backyard...but the best part was that we were all together as a family with the open roads ahead of us, a travel trailer in tow, and no jobs or schools to report to.

Ready to hit the road - our home for 11 days

Continental Divide - Montana
The first day was simply just driving to get as far in to Montana as we could. The continental divide was really beautiful to drive through and we played "Life is a Highway" as we drove through it.

The only stops we made were gas and restroom stops at the hour every hour. We drove for 14 hours and landed in Big Timber, Montana. We pulled in to the Big Timber/Greycliff KOA at around 9:15 p.m., hitched off the trailer and went to bed.

The next morning we woke, had breakfast and showered before we hit the road again as we had a bit more of driving to do to get to Devil's Tower.

Enjoying breakfast

There was a cute little playground and Taylor made sure to check it out.

And she made sure I joined in on the fun 💓
