Washington Coast - Willapa Bay/Long Beach/Cape Disappointment

Time rolls by, the clock don't stop

I wish I had a few more drops

Of the good stuff, the good times

Oh but they just keep on flying

Right on by, like it ain't nothing

Wish I had me a pause button

Moments like those Lord knows I'd hit it

And give myself five more minutes

I wish time would slow down. This year we spent President's Day weekend on the coast of Washington instead of on the slopes skiing like we usually do. We stayed at the Bay Center KOA on Willapa Bay in their Deluxe Cabin. It was PERFECT. There was a queen bed, 2 bunks, your own shower and a kitchenette. The outside patio was also a great compliment: a fire pit, a gas grill and a porch swing. The weather throughout our entire stay worked well in our favor and we had a great time! 😏

 

After getting settled in we decided to check out the private beachfront to scope out the area where we would go clamming the next morning to harvest some clams for the paella dish I had planned to make. The beach is just through a short forest and down a flight of stairs. 

Our clamming experience there was awesome. The clams were of abundance and we harvested more than enough for my paella dish.

Yes, five more minutes would be nice indeed!
